Progression System: There are 6 main “Stations” that swimmers will progress through over the course of the session. Each lesson will begin with a review of the previous lesson skills before moving into explanation and demonstration of that day’s objectives. Instructors will mark a swimmer’s progress through each station based on a checklist of requisite skills. Station 6 includes swimming Freestyle with proper breathing, swimming Backstroke with proper body roll and kick, and Dives. Not all swimmers will progress through Station 6 over the course of the session! Alternately, if a swimmer progresses beyond Station 6, we will begin working on proper technique for Butterfly and Breaststroke. See skills checklist for a more detailed description of the progression system.
